Role Summary
The International School of Ticino seeks a Secondary Visual Arts teacher with design expertise to join our team for September 2024. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to lead Visual and Performing Arts.
Applicants should be well-qualified and experienced in teaching DP or equivalent qualifications. They should be committed to high standards, enthusiastic about using innovative approaches, and interested in promoting international understanding.
Our School
Founded in 2014, the International School of Ticino has experienced year-on-year growth, reaching 270 students across the age range of 3-18. In 2021, we became the only IB continuum school in the area, graduating our first DP class in 2023 with outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher who can contribute to growing an IB school and has experience teaching various ages and abilities across the secondary school age range (11-18 years). A permanent contract and a location on Lake Lugano or Lake Como offer an excellent quality of life.
The Ideal Candidate
* A university degree in a related subject and a teaching qualification.
* Recent experience teaching secondary within the 11-18 age range.
* An enthusiasm for teaching and conveying it successfully to students.
* An EU passport or a valid visa allowing work in Switzerland.
* Previous experience with IB programmes, with further training offered.
