We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with experience in Amazonian languages to collaborate with one of the four QUANTA teams, based at ETH Zürich and led by Principal Investigator Rafael Núñez.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate quantification and numeral systems in-depth within languages and cultures from Amazonia.
* Participate actively in the research team's academic and social activities.
* Primary working language will be English.
* This is a full-time position (41 hours per week), with flexibility to adjust hours for care-work, health, or wellbeing.
* The ideal start date is October 1, but we can accommodate slight adjustments. The initial appointment is for one year until September 30 at ETH Zurich, with potential extension at the QUANTA headquarters, University of Bergen, Norway.
Your Profile
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
* Possess a doctoral degree in linguistic anthropology (or a related field) prior to commencing at ETH Zürich.
* Demonstrate expertise and an excellent track record in linguistic anthropology, preferably focusing on Amazonian languages or cultures.
* Show potential to initiate innovative research sub-projects that can be developed independently while collaborating closely with the multi-disciplinary QUANTA team.
