The Demand Planner, EMEA will play an active role in translating the key element of the business strategies into tactical functional initiatives to meet the service and objectives across all regions. As the owner of the regional demand planning process for the businesses, this role will be responsible for leading and coordinating the monthly demand consensus by region (monthly through to long range demand planning) for the businesses by actively engaging the marketing and finance community as key participants in the process.
This position will, working with country demand planners or sales and finance personnel, provide guidance and coordination in key areas of demand planning processes to ensure consistency and high performance regionally. The incumbent will lead the aggregation of regional demand for the businesses and timely provide the information to all the relevant processes (WW Demand Review, Regional IBP).

The position will initiate and drive improvements in the process through increased market knowledge and systems usage. Focus on improvements in demand modeling, which drives greater accuracy and is directly linked to increased customer service and inventory strategies. Maintain a strong link to business activity and global issues as they may affect respective products. Responsible for coordination of the demand for the annual long-term planning process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the demand figures in the EMEA regions indirectly driving the production schedule of global plants, directly affecting the availability of products.
2. Process Owner for the demand planning process in the EMEA regions for assigned platforms, across countries regionally and indirectly influences the global production plan.
3. Actively contribute and support the development and implementation of the regional business strategy in the demand planning functional area.
4. Develop good statistical models through the use of the SCM DP/SP and leverage its usage in monthly Demand Consensus for products forecasted at regional level.
5. Monitor Joblogs from DP background jobs after each step in the monthly process for products forecasted for sale at the regional level regardless of where produced.
6. Monitor DP alerts and use BI reports to identify forecast issues for products forecasted at regional level regardless of where produced.
7. Work with global planning to document and maintain lead times within the integrated supply chain that will affect required inventory levels within the region, and communicate with global planning to determine corrective action if required.
8. Timely and accurately enter the consensus figures into DP for monthly pass into IBP to accurately determine production planning.
9. Manage communication and coordination across the regional marketing and finance areas as well as across country sales and marketing teams.
10. Facilitate the Regional Demand Review and represent that information in the Regional IBP meetings ensures timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum.
11. Represent the region in the WW Demand Review, ensuring timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum and jointly contribute to the decisions to ultimately determine global production.
12. Interface with WW Demand/Supply Planners for plants globally and IBP Process owners.
13. Support BD AI ML implementation process.
14. Responsible for the Regional Key Metrics/Forecast Accuracy to attain the highest level of performance for the assigned product groups and assist in management of cost through achieving those metrics.
15. Support WW Supply Chain key initiatives to accomplish best in class forecast accuracy and provide support in meeting goals across all other SC KPI's to ultimately help manage production/distribution efficiencies.
16. Support CI, cost reduction or other efficiency initiatives in the region.
17. Maintain a strong link with the business activities and global issues as they may affect respective products sold in the region regardless of where the products are manufactured.
18. Consolidate, challenge the country input for the annual LTP process as well as provide regional input.
Qualifications:
Education: University degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field. APICS certification preferred.
Experiences:
1. Demand Planning experience in a large or complex organization.
2. Led and coordinated demand consensus activities.
3. Experience with statistical forecasting models.
4. ERP experiences to include APO, SCM DP/SP or other tools.
5. SAP SCM experience preferred.
6. Project Management Experience (NPI, Product Line Moves, Inventory Improvement).
Required Knowledge and Skills:
1. Proficient with definitions, parameters and variables of demand/supply planning performance metrics, capable to translate these metrics into meaningful business outcomes, to perform root cause analysis and apply corrective actions.
2. Capable to monitor Demand planning metrics performance in support of IBP and to recommend corrective action as required.
3. Working knowledge of the five step IBP Process with specific awareness of dependent activities within the IBP cycle.
4. Capable to facilitate regional demand reviews and to represent the region in WW IBP meetings.
5. Capable to provide regional roll up of demand for financial reconciliation.
6. Has understanding of the E2E supply chain and the regional networks.
7. Strong analytical skills, capable to drill-down for root cause analysis, linked to capability to synthesize and translate findings into business language.
8. Skilled to tailor communication to different levels in the organization.
9. Working knowledge of project management and CI tools.
10. Skilled and capable in the use of statistical modeling software to develop a demand plan.
11. Understanding of market served (country) and its demand volatility affected by market place events such as tender, competitor actions, etc.
12. Understanding of end user customer expectations and requirements.
13. Ability to create groupings from product dependencies and common characteristics.
14. Understanding of the inputs, outputs, systems applications for all aspects of Supply Chain processes.
15. Ability to set targets and establish plans to drive metric improvement to target at regional level.
16. Skilled and capable in the use of SCM and SAP as a tool in developing appropriate inventory levels and net replenishment requirements to achieve targeted inventory and customer service levels.
