The Capacity Building Unit at the ISO Central Secretariat providescapacity building activities through a five-year strategic framework, the ISOAction Plan for developing countries (APDC). The expected impact of the ActionPlan is to empower developing countries to actively contribute to the ISOsystem, and to benefit fully from the use of ISO standards addressing social,economic, and environmental challenges. Key responsibilities
1. Work with tutors, trainers or development teams to create engaging and interactive online learning materials (such as eLearning courses, micro-learning videos …etc) that are included in the ISO digital learning solutions (DLS) content plan.
2. Build and maintain online training webpages known as virtual instructor-led training sessions (VILTs) on the ISO digital learning platform.
3. Oversee and take part in the review and editing of existing eLearning courses and VILTs to keep them current, error free and relevant.
4. Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure content accuracy, functionality, and user-friendliness of all online learning materials on the ISO digital learning platform.
5. Track and analyze learner performance and feedback to improve future online learning materials.
6. Offer technical support for users experiencing issues with eLearning content.
7. Provide operational and technical support for the ISO digital learning platform.
8. Stay updated and monitor emerging technologies, training development trends/standards and make recommendations for adoption.

Qualification and Experience
9. University degree required, preferably in instructional design, training design and development, education and learning technology, or online curriculum development.
10. Five years of solid experience in successfully designing and developing online learning materials deployed in a variety of environments.
11. Solid working knowledge of using various authoring tools (such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Moodle) for use in online and blended learning.
12. Five years of demonstrated experience in working with Moodle.
13. Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
14. Basic knowledge of web technologies, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
15. Proficiency with MS Office tools is required.
16. Fluent in English (C1 level minimum) and working knowledge of French is an advantage.
Skills
17. Strong technical skills to effectively implement and deliver eLearning courses, including proficiency in multimedia development tools, eLearning authoring tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and how SCORM packages work.
18. Strong writing skills (based on project needs) to create concise and clear content, activities, and feedback that clearly communicate complex concepts and how to apply them on the job.
19. Basic proficiency in graphic design and the ability to leverage visual design, audio recording, and video production tools to create appealing and effective multimedia and interactive elements for the eLearning courses.
20. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and problems and identify ways to improve the functionality, user experience (UX), and user interface (UI) design of the eLearning course.
21. Ability to effectively manage the work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, partnering with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and other team members to achieve the overall design vision.
22. Excellent organizational skills, ability to stick to tight deadlines, while focusing on results and learners’ needs and expectations.
23. Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to stay current with industry trends and effective methods for content delivery.
