Founded in 1924, the Foundation of the International School of Geneva, commonly known as Ecolint educates 4500 students aged from 3 18 representing over 130 nationalities. The La Chtaigneraie Cus is set amidst the picturesque rolling farms and villages of Founex overlooking Lake Geneva not far from the city. With a mix of historic and new buildings, the cus is split into a Primary and Secondary school with a combined total of around 1600 students. We are proud to be an International Baccalaureate World School while also offering our students the option to complete the Swiss Maturite. Our programmes are based on the IB''s "Learner Profile'', a set of ideals that inspire, motivate and focus the work of the school and help students to become more thoughtful, grounded, responsible and caring global citizens. To complete our team, we are looking for a:
Science Teacher
Part time 18 / 24 periods (75%) Initial 2 year temporary contract
Responsibilities
* Teach Biology as part of the IGCSE programme
* Teach middle school Science (Year 7 9) as part of the MYP programme
* Collaborate closely with colleagues
* Contribute to the teaching resources of the department
* Regularly assess the progress of students and record and report those results to parents
Candidate requirements
1. University degree in Science/Biology
2. Teaching qualification
3. Minimum 2 years'' experience
4. Experience of differentiation for mixed ability classes and integration of ICT within Science
5. Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
