LEGAL ASSISTANT
Purpose of the Position
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented legal assistant to join our legal team at Bally’s global headquarters. You will build processes and systems to support and manage Bally’s operations and legal structure globally. This position will support our business operations in a variety of legal and business matters, including corporate governance, contract management, intellectual property, supply chain, marketing and creative, finance, privacy, and regulatory laws applicable to the luxury industry in markets where Bally operates globally. You will work closely with our business stakeholders to support the company's operations and growth. Reports to: General Counsel
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Be an integral part of the Bally legal team, helping the department provide quality legal support to the business;
2. Support on governance matters including liaising with internal partners to ensure commercial agreements are properly reviewed and approved prior to commitment;
3. Develop the internal legal operations function to ensure efficient use of resources, streamlined processes and proper risk controls;
4. Manage and maintain the legal database and contract management system regarding corporate documentation and commercial agreements;
5. Support the legal team in ensuring regulatory compliance in areas such as data privacy and consumer protection. Monitor all intellectual property registrations and trademark infringements;
6. Conduct legal research as necessary on various topics in the luxury industry;
7. Facilitate communication between our legal team and other internal teams, such as finance, marketing, retail, wholesale and product development;
8. Manage the corporate secretarial function across the group;
9. Assist with special projects as needed, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment;
10. Perform other tasks as assigned by the legal team members.
Qualifications, Attitude and Skills
1. Studies in law or experience in a corporate legal department / law firm a plus;
2. Knowledge of contract law, intellectual property law, and privacy laws a plus;
3. Strong teamwork and organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills;
4. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
5. Ability to effectively multi-task, manage time-sensitive documents and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment;
6. Fluency in written and spoken Italian and English (C2 level).
