Reporting directly to the Retail Accounting Manager, the Retail Accounting Intern will provide support to stores for stock management by monitoring the operations of arrival and departure of goods and by performing professional accounting work including compilation, consolidation and analysis of financial data. He/she will also provide support to the Group Accounting department regarding property retail stores sales audit.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Daily support to stores by monitoring the entire orders flows
2. Check of in-transit goods and discrepancies
3. Verify and solve shipments problems together with other offices
4. Upload of price-lists, master-data and Third Party suppliers' orders
5. Management of End of Season returns and faulty goods
6. Weekly review return in transit management
7. Audits sales through different systems (JDA, JDE, Microstrategy, Xstore, Piteco)
8. Reconcile stores cash deposits, credit cards, gift cards
9. Reconcile Ecomm Credit Cards, Cash on Delivery, Marketplace
10. Support the Accounting in the preparation of the monthly/yearly closing activities
11. Support to AP department for third parties supplier reconciliations
12. Monthly cut off management for licensed product
13. Daily support for the stock takes activities
14. Process customer refunds
15. Handle and process credit card retrievals and chargebacks
16. Assist the accounting Manager in the preparation of the monthly closing activities
Requirements
1. High School Diploma or First Level Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
2. Well organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, maintaining accuracy and meeting strict deadlines
3. Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
4. Good judgment, proven responsibility
5. Accuracy. Strong numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to details
6. Clear personal values, integrity & trust
7. Sense of ownership and pride in the performance and its impact on company's success
8. High results orientation with a proactive approach to achieving targets and handling complex challenges
9. Capability to work under strict, short deadlines
10. Excellent oral and written communication skills with both internal and external customers
11. Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently
12. Fluent English. Any other language will be considered a plus
13. Good knowledge of MS-Office package (especially Excel). The knowledge of JDE and Property retail software Xstore - Piteco will be considered a plus
