Materials Coordinator
For my client – a globally renowned biotech company in Neuchâtel, Switzerland – I am seeking an experienced Materials Coordinator to join a dynamic and fast-paced team.
As the Materials Management Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date delivery planning, managing the process from order creation through to receipt. You will also be responsible for coordinating operational activities related to material release, ensuring that materials are available when needed, and driving operational excellence through leading daily tier meetings. Your contributions will be vital in supporting supply chain efficiency and aligning with company goals in a highly regulated environment.
Main Responsibilities: Manage order tracking and communication with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that arise.
Coordination for Material Release: Lead operational activities related to material release, ensuring that all materials meet required standards and timelines.
Continuous Improvement: Engage in process optimization and contribute to the continuous improvement of material management activities.
Participate in various other tasks as needed, ensuring smooth operations within the supply chain team.
Ability to make independent decisions regarding order modifications and communicate directly with suppliers on issues such as delivery delays or order adjustments.
Provide stock-out visibility to relevant departments, enabling them to plan their activities around potential delays or shortages.
Lead daily 'Raw Material Tiers' meetings, assigning actions and responsibilities as needed to ensure timely material availability.
Analyze MRP (Material Requirements Planning) messages and create new orders accordingly, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or equivalent.
1 to 3 years of experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries, with exposure to GMP environments.
Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments.
Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Advanced level of English is required; additional language skills are a plus.

Contract Duration: 1-year contract – with a high chance of extension
