Safety Officer Utilities Operations (m/f/d) For our pharmaceutical client in Valais, we are looking for a Safety Officer (m/f/d), who is responsible for managing the work permit process, assessing risks, and preparing work permits in line with safety regulations. They conduct random inspections of work areas to ensure compliance and approve workspaces after tasks are completed.

The role involves identifying hazards, implementing risk control measures, and ensuring a safe working environment. The Safety Officer (m/f/d) collaborates with teams to foster a proactive safety culture and provides safety guidance and training as needed.
Your Responsibilities:
Work Permit Process Management: Lead the work permit process, ensuring that all tasks are authorized and compliant with safety protocols before initiation.
Perform thorough risk evaluations: In line with the company's safety standards, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
Preparation of Work Permits: Issue work permits after assessing risks, ensuring they meet the company's stringent safety requirements.
Spot Checks and Inspections: Conduct regular, unannounced inspections of work areas to ensure safety measures are consistently followed, aligned with the company's commitment to continuous safety improvements.
Workspace Approvals: After the completion of tasks, ensure workspaces meet safety standards before reapproval for use.
Compliance and Safety Monitoring: Uphold compliance with both internal safety guidelines and external regulatory requirements, always striving for excellence.
Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that safety risks are managed proactively. Report on safety performance and suggest improvements as part of the company's continuous safety improvement culture.
Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to staff on best safety practices, reinforcing the company's safety-first mindset.
Your Requirements:
Industrial apprenticeship with 3-10 years of experience alternatively bachelor of process engineering or machine engineering with 1+ years experience.
Experience in similar roles in GMP environment.
Advanced English language skills.
MS Office knowledge.
Team player with ability to work efficiently in a matrix organization.
Excellent business mindset, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
