With over 50 years of experience in the Navitech team, the company operates across Sweden, Norway, and Western Europe.
As a process engineer at Navitech Western Europe, you will play a central role in our projects for energy optimisation and fossil-free production. You will work closely with other engineering disciplines, project managers and partners, and be involved in the projects from start to finish. This gives you a unique opportunity to follow and influence the whole process – from pre-study, conceptualisation, basic design, final design and so on, up to and including installation and commissioning.
Your main tasks include:
1. Development of process flow diagrams (PFD) and instrument diagrams as well as the total material and thermal balances for energy plants.
2. Develop and create piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
3. Perform engineering calculations and write process descriptions and other documentation.
4. Design systems and functions and process components such as valves, heat exchangers, pumps and other fittings.
5. Participate in risk analyses (e.g. HAZOP) and provide technical support to the organisation.
6. Review and evaluate offers from equipment suppliers from a process perspective.
7. Support FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
8. Act as sub-project manager within process, and as such coordinate with other technical disciplines to ensure functional requirements are met.
9. Work on the development of new systems and methods.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in sustainable development and who wants to help shape the industry of the future. You are a solution-oriented person with an analytical mindset and the ability to work in a team. You are motivated by being part of projects from start to finish and enjoy taking ownership of your work.
1. HES / EPF engineer or equivalent university degree (MSc) in energy engineering, process or automation or solid experience equivalent to this.
2. At least a few years of experience as a process engineer in the field of boiler and hot water systems linked to industrial or energy plants.
3. Experience in designing process plants and participation in risk analyses (e.g. HAZOP).
4. Knowledge in the development of process flow diagrams (PFD), the overall mass balance of an energy plant, and the creation of piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID).
5. Experience with CAD tools and working in them.
6. Understanding of pipe design, e.g. reading isometrics.
7. Knowledge of the Swiss and French legal framework for project implementation and subsidy programmes.
8. Fluent English and French in speech and writing, German would be very appreciated.
9. Very good knowledge of English, including technical English in speech and writing.
10. B driving licence.
11. Travelling in Western Europe is part of the role (percentage varying according to project assignment).
