The eCommerce Manager will oversee the strategy, development, and operations of our client's multi-country, multi-language website for Europe. This individual will ensure seamless online experiences across multiple markets, lead cross-functional teams, and drive growth in online sales while maintaining brand consistency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the launch and continuous optimization of the multi-country eCommerce platform.
Collaborate with developers, UX/UI designers, and third-party agencies to ensure the platform supports localization (languages, currencies, legal requirements, etc.).
Implement best practices for user experience, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility.
Develop and execute an eCommerce strategy aligned with business objectives
Identify opportunities for growth, including new features, products, and market trends.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and customer acquisition cost (CAC).
Work with translators and local market experts to ensure accurate content.
Develop country-specific promotions, pricing strategies, and campaigns
Build and manage a team that includes a site merchandiser and digital marketing specialists
Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, IT, and legal teams.
Act as the primary liaison between regional offices and the global headquarters.
Use analytics tools to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
Oversee inventory management, logistics, and customer service processes
Ensure compliance with local eCommerce laws, data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR), and taxation requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in eCommerce management, preferably in a multi-country or multi-language environment.
Proven experience launching and scaling eCommerce platforms.
Proficiency in eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento, or similar).
Strong understanding of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and performance marketing strategies.
Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work across cultures and teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Fluency in English and German is required; proficiency in additional European languages
Understanding of cultural nuances and regional consumer behaviour.
