We are seeking a Business Development/Marketing Specialist to coordinate numerous tasks related to compiling, organizing, and producing materials to be included in business plans, proposals, presentation materials, and business development/Client Relationship Management (CRM) reports. This position will also assist the Business Development Director to coordinate events and related business development activities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
* Input opportunities and data quality, reporting and analysis, including input of company information.
* Track proposals and business development opportunities and provide regular reporting. Follow-up with Supervisor as directed to track wins, losses, and ROI.
* Fulfill requests for business development materials, including bios, practice descriptions and brochures, pitch books, presentations on capabilities, and respond to all inquiries as they relate to business development.
* Organize business development materials, which may include writing and editing copy, proofreading, production, distribution, as determined by collaboration with Marketing.
* Ensure current and relevant materials by utilizing the current database of practice descriptions, client lists, and manager biographies.
* Research and produce prospective agency/company profiles, including individual biographies and Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) trends to keep Supervisor and Client Managers informed.
* Compile research on strategic key clients, industries, and competitors to support business development initiatives.
* Coordinate the production of client follow up materials and promotional items/products.
* Coordinate the development, implementation, and utilization of the Deltek Resource Planning Module.
* Provide support to industry-specific professional organizations to build strategic relationships as directed.
* In collaboration with Marketing, create and develop press releases and corporate posts on social media.
Marketing Collaboration
* Draft internal and external communications such as internal practice group updates and events for marketing social media promotion.
* Organize the planning and execution of client events/seminars, conferences, trade shows and other firm sponsored events. Tasks include developing action plans, coordinating the invitation and RSVP lists; coordinating sponsorship ads, marketing materials, registrations (for events, hotels, travel, etc.); setting up displays at tradeshows, and providing on-site support.
* Develop and maintain mailing lists, contact lists and client profiles using the firm's CRM, Interaction, and other database tools.
* Strategically increase the firm’s email database of industry decision makers, support institutional programs to distribute thought leadership and assist Client Managers to keep in touch with current clients and prospects.
* Maintain inventory of business development marketing materials.
* Work closely and cooperatively with the marketing professionals responsible for public relations, website updates, publications and newsletters, events and other marketing and communications tools.
* Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Licensure, Or Certification Required
* California Driver’s License.
* Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar OR commensurate years of experience reflecting increasing responsibility within field.
Minimum Experience Required
* 2-3 years of experience as a Business Development/Marketing Specialist or similar.
Other Required Skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Must interact well with other staff and existing/potential clients.
* Must be exceptionally well-organized.
* Must have a keen eye for details.
* Client Relationship Management (CRM) database experience.
* Advanced skills in MS Office software applications, and Deltek Vision.

Salary Description
