At Eli Lilly, we are seeking a dynamic Manager to lead a team of professionals in Material and Transformation. This position reports directly to the Associate Director - Supply Chain, Planning & Transformation.
The Manager will play a vital role in leading and developing the Material and Transformation Team, primarily focusing on material availability by identifying and executing the correct purchasing strategies. The manager will be a key partner for Procurement in managing supplier relationships and a crucial point of contact for the Global Material Team and External Manufacturing.
Main Responsibilities
* Support transformation projects across all areas of the supply chain including Supply Planning, logistics, distribution, and warehousing to modernize our supply chain.
* Use knowledge of supply chain best practices, procedures, and technologies to identify areas of transformation opportunities and partner with IT to identify, design, and implement solutions.
* Support Procurement in carrying over programs of exploration for new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery.
* Lead data analysis and development of supply chain policies to meet overall business objectives.
* Lead the strategy to maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements.
* Establish and lead quarterly reviews to ensure the proper levels of inventory are maintained to optimize stock quantities, stock values, and obsolescence levels.
* Analyze the long-term manufacturing plan and identify problem areas that impact the delivery to commitment.
* Act as the first escalation point of contact with the Network to help rebalance stocks and solve criticalities with the Affiliates.
* Serve as the first point of escalation for exception communication and resolution.
* Supervise, evaluate, and coach staff members.
* Maintain relationships and contribute to negotiations with suppliers supporting the local Procurement.
* Accountable for the Purchase of supplies and materials according to specifications.
* Manage Lilly Sesto's relationship with the Network to help rebalance stocks and solve criticalities with the Affiliates.
* Ensure that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials purchases.
* Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely, and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.
* Contribute to the Business Plan (BP) prep by leading and collating information related to forecasts, scrap materials info, standard cost definitions support, and any relevant info material-related to this process.
* Contribute to the E2E S&OP process by leading and collating the information related to forecasts of materials incoming, highlighting supply issues, and providing solutions.
Required Qualifications
* Master's Degree.
* Fluency in English.
* Knowledge of SAP R/3, APO, Excel, Trackwise, etc.
* APICS certification preferable.
* Demonstrated ability to manage/own multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
* Strong oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Fundamental understanding of Supply Chain basics.
* Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work in a Team environment.
* Problem solving, good attitude, results-oriented.
