Following an internal transfer, we are recruiting a CMO & Alliance Manager for our Swiss affiliate based in Fribourg. Reporting to the Head of Business Development & Partnering Swiss Affiliate, your mission is to contribute to the organization’s growth by effectively managing all aspects of external manufacturing operations and building strong relationships with our CMO partners.
Your main responsibilities are as follows:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with CMO partners, conduct business reviews to ensure alignment.
* Monitor KPIs and implement processes for early risk identification, define and follow-up on corrective actions and improvement plans, provide technical support if needed.
* Negotiate Manufacturing & Supply Agreements and contract amendments, coordinate review rounds and contract approval with internal and external stakeholders, monitor adherence to contractual commitments and terms.
* Drive cross-functional collaboration and oversee activities between CMOs and internal stakeholders such as Supply Planner, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs.
* Analyze existing CMO network and capabilities, provide recommendations for optimization to secure long-term supply stability and improve cost-effectiveness.
* Identify development opportunities of existing assets and partnerships, in alignment with affiliate business strategy and commercial objectives.
* Evaluate business cases for CMO selection.
* Oversee and manage technology transfers or any other projects related to CMOs.
* Coordinate Product Supply process together with the Supply Planner.
To carry out this mission, we are looking for a person with the following profile:
* University degree in the field of Life Sciences / Pharmaceuticals or Engineering.
* At least 8 years’ experience in pharmaceutical operations, including a solid experience in CMO management, technology transfer, or manufacturing.
* Strong knowledge in pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain processes, GMP, and CMC processes.
* Experience in pharmaceutical project management is a plus.
* Full fluency in English and proficiency in German or French.
