About the Role: As a System Engineer at Ascom, you will be responsible for implementing technical customer solutions within a Professional Service Project. Your role will encompass a range of activities including analysis of requirements, design, installation, commissioning, and hand-over of customer solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver activities as part of Ascom Professional Services, including requirements analysis, design, installation, commissioning, and handover of customer solutions.
2. Work on projects to implement technical customer solutions that integrate with existing systems:Implement systems according to project descriptions.Conduct on-site work intake for project definition when needed.Execute small installation tasks in minor projects.Report frequently on project progress to the project manager.Instruct customers on the use of the system/solution when necessary.Take on project responsibility for smaller projects, including requirements analysis, design, installation, commissioning, and handover of customer solutions.
3. Proactively collaborate with customers on-site and provide consultancy to help them identify the best possible additions/options.
4. Be accountable for customer satisfaction and lead time of assigned project task KPIs.
5. Maintain and demonstrate expertise in the latest technologies and methods through successful completion of training.
6. Establish good documentation standards to preserve the traceability and serviceability of delivered products and solutions.
7. Interface with customers and peers to collect information needed to perform professional services.
Requirements
Qualifications and Work Experience
8. 1+ years experience in a technical System Engineering position or similar.
9. Ability to think outside the box and work effectively.
Skills and Competencies
10. Understand technical specifications and capabilities of relevant key systems and solutions.
11. Basic understanding of port opening and firewalls.
12. Strong time management, prioritization, and organizing skills.
13. Excellent customer service skills.
14. Ability to write well-constructed reports.
