Financial Analyst
Role
The Financial Analyst will be part of a small, specialist team responsible for global sales and trading activities in the bauxite and alumina market. This position is suited for a proactive, detail oriented financial professional eager to dive into data, uncover insights, and contribute to business decision making.
Responsibilities
The position will be part of Hydro Bauxite Alumina, Commercial department based in Switzerland. The Financial Analyst will support the finance team in the monthly reporting and yearly budgeting processes with analysis and data insights.
* Support monthly and quarterly closings
* Support weekly position and exposure meetings
* Contribute to ongoing improvements in reporting and business planning processes
* Perform standard and ad hoc financial analyses (realized prices, margins, exposures, detailed deviation analysis)
* Monitor working capital and perform variation analysis
* Support financial valuation of commercial term contract proposals
* Assist in preparing quarterly performance review and board of directors'' meetings
