The opportunity
We're currently looking for an HR Business Partner to join our HR Business team in order to support our operations in the Swiss and Italian markets. We seek someone with a passion for electric mobility, an interest in technology, and a desire to expedite forthcoming change. The role involves occasional sustainable travel in the service of a cleaner form of electric performance.
This position is located in Milano, Italy, and Zurich, Switzerland. We believe in a hybrid model for remote and onsite work, knowing that both in-person collaboration and individual focus time are essential. What matters most is that people receive the time and support to accomplish their tasks and enjoy doing it.
The responsibilities
You will be part of the global HR team for deploying and implementing HR projects and initiatives, while also serving as the local HR Business Partner for Switzerland and Italy on HR topics. We are looking for a committed and collaborative HR Partner who wants to adapt, implement, and drive global HR strategies at the local market level. This position will operate on a 50% basis and report to the HR Regional Manager of EMEA, with a dotted line to the Managing Director of Polestar Switzerland & Italy.
See below for a breakdown of the tasks and areas you'll be responsible for:
* Supporting the employment lifecycle, including administration, recruitment, and facility management.
* Preparing and issuing relevant HR documents, e.g., contracts and pension eligibility confirmations.
* Supporting the local market team with annual merit and performance reviews, career planning, and training programs.
* Providing feedback and reporting to the global HR team on projects and process improvements for local adaptations.
* Collaborating with global HR to drive the rollout of new initiatives and programs and participating in local events.
The ideal candidate
To succeed in this role and at Polestar, you will need tenacity, flexibility, curiosity, and the ability to take the initiative, meet deadlines, and discard unfeasible ideas.
We are looking for someone with excellent people and communication skills, who can handle multiple stakeholders and build long-term professional relationships based on trust, commitment, and a high level of service. You should easily comprehend global strategies and translate them into local applications. You are flexible, independent, and can establish your own structure while working proactively in an ever-changing environment.
In addition, you'll need the following qualifications:
* A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a similar field.
* Thorough knowledge of Swiss & Italian labour laws.
* At least three years of experience in the Human Resources field.
* Excellent spoken and written proficiency in German, Italian, and English; French is an asset.
* Experience in payroll or compensation and benefits is considered meritorious.
