Your Role
Our foundation is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to guide our global financial, legal and compliance strategy and lead a great team into the future.
In this role, and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for:
* Strategic Financial Leadership & Collaboration, contributing to developing clear goals and objectives to support organizational growth and sustainability; counselling CEO, COO and Regional Directors to ensure financial health and guiding several committees with financial insights when appropriate;
* Financial Planning & Analysis, overseeing budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to ensure informed decision making and resource allocation; identifying and recommending investment strategies;
* Financial Reporting & Tools, overseeing preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly and annual financial updates and analyses, ensuring financial tools are resource-efficient, fit for purpose and focused on the essentials;
* Risk Management, identifying and mitigating financial risks, ensuring financial stability and compliance with relevant regulations, partnering with the Controller to align global financial management systems, activities, internal controls, and audits with organisational policies and timelines;
* Legal and Compliance, ensuring global offices comply with laws and regulations, managing regulatory risk with internal and external legal teams, overseeing contracts review and negotiations and provide guidance on policies intellectual property and insurances;
* Stakeholders’ engagement, supporting donors relations and fundraising efforts, supporting the Director of Partnerships and Memberships with members, clients, donors compliance and sub-award management, and playing an active role in improving the financial viability of solutions, products and models developments;
* Lead and mentor the finance team, including six direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within your team and the broader ecosystem.

With your leadership and interpersonal skills, you will not only supervise but also nurture a global team of diverse talents. Your proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel/data analysis will be crucial in driving our mission forward. You will be experienced in navigating both Legal and Compliance workstreams and able to provide clear guidance to these teams to ensure effective management of associated risks across the organisation.
Your communication and presentation style make people feel at ease and you’ll play a vital role in empowering others to grow their own financial, legal and compliance acumen whilst also contributing directly to operational changes.
