Job Overview
We are recruiting an Associate Scientist QC Microbiology for our site in Bern, Switzerland.
This role involves working with various test methods and performing routine release and stability tests for new materials in the clinical and commercial phase.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform stability, in-process control, release, raw material, and environmental monitoring tests.
* Analyze, report, and review test results to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Maintain laboratory equipment and operate instruments efficiently.
* Support team personnel through training and qualifications.
* Plan and execute sample releases at required cGMP level, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
* Participate in lab events, investigations, and CAPAs related to OOS and non-conformances.
* Assist with method qualification, verification, and co-validation activities as needed.
* Lead continuous improvement projects within Quality Control to enhance operational efficiency and GMP compliance.
* Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, processes, and guidelines.
* Provide support to analytical development, process development, and other stakeholders when necessary.
Requirements
* A university degree in natural sciences, applied sciences, microbiology, or equivalent, with relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or vaccine industry.
* Experience in a cGMP regulated environment is advantageous.
* Sound knowledge of microbiological laboratory operations and practices.
* Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail are essential.
* Strategic and conceptual thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability are required.
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities are necessary.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
* Proactive attitude, independence, and ownership of assigned tasks are expected.
* Bilingual skills in English and German are beneficial.
