The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games, the Olympic Properties and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), the International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.

In alignment with the strategic objectives established by the Head of Intellectual Property (IP), and in close collaboration with the Senior Legal Counsel – IP Contracts & Content and other members of the IP Division, this role involves offering support and legal advice on the activities undertaken by the IP Contracts and Content unit.
Main Responsibilities:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of legal documents and IP related contracts such as IP licenses, performer agreements, music related agreements, and content clearance agreements.
Assisting with the drafting of various IOC guidelines.
Working closely with diverse internal and external stakeholders across various cultures and political contexts.
Proactively leading and building trust, fostering partnerships across diverse teams and stakeholders while balancing legal requirements with business goals.
Advising and supporting the IOC and its affiliated entities on IP contracts and content related matters.
Qualifications:
A law degree and bar qualification, ideally with an LL.M or master’s degree in IP or a related field.
7+ years of progressive experience working as in-house or external counsel in relation to content (e.g. multimedia, audiovisual, music, etc) and/or merchandising, in the event and content production, distribution and/or commercialization industries.
Outstanding contractual drafting and negotiation skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Chinese, French, and/or other languages is advantageous.
