We are seeking a candidate with a strong support mindset to join our Product Support Engineering team.
The successful candidate will work closely with Field Service Engineers and Installations Engineers to provide third-level support for imaging components on Varian linear accelerators.
This role involves conducting technical investigations, supporting field service representatives, authoring service documentation, and providing input to the R&D organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct thorough root cause analysis for complex system issues related to Varian Medical Systems Imaging products.
2. Respond to situations where first and second level field service support was unable to resolve problems.
3. Develop technical documentation for Field Service and Installation organizations.
4. Support new product rollouts and facilitate knowledge transfer to Installation and Field Service teams.
5. Identify design, reliability, and maintenance discrepancies and report them to the Engineering teams.
6. Represent the Global Customer Service organization during new product introductions.
Desired Qualifications
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent fields.
2. High level of analytical skills to identify root causes of complex problems.
3. Ability to quickly learn new areas and adapt to changing requirements.
4. Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in a support role.
2. Experience with Varian Linear Accelerators (C-series, TrueBeam).
3. Previous exposure to medical physics or image processing.
