Job Description:
Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across three continents. While we work in science, there’s no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.
Lonza is looking for a PMO Manager for Mammalian Operations in Visp. In this role you will maintain and continuously improve the project management processes for internal (strategic) projects within the Mammalian Operations Visp organization. This includes the establishment and maintenance of a strong project governance that ensures efficient and reliable delivery of internal projects.
Key responsibilities:
1. Maintaining and continuously improve a PMO, which includes implementing processes to come from actual needs over project ideas and a project portfolio to business results together with a governance at site level.
2. Support local training and roll out of processes and ensure projects are managed according to defined standards.
3. Contribute to definition of documentation, templates and reporting standards and work in close collaboration with other Visp Site PMO organizations to set standards and to manage dependencies.
4. Coordinate MM site portfolio validation and prioritization according to MM site resource availabilities. Provide full transparency on all projects being executed requiring MM site resources. Manage the demand process and coordinate supporting meetings (ideation and stage gate process for project approval).
5. Actively contribute to the preparation of funding for programs and projects (ESR, CAR and lump sum) if necessary.
Key requirements:
1. Educational background in Biotechnology, Bio-chemical Engineering, MINT or similar.
2. Several years of work experience in the (Bio)pharmaceutical industry.
3. Experience in Project management and working in cross-functional teams.
4. Profound knowledge of operational excellence, Green Belt certification preferred.
5. Fluency in German and English is required.
Every day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people. For us, this is not only a great privilege, but also a great responsibility. How we achieve our business results is just as important as the achievements themselves. At Lonza, we respect and protect our people and our environment. Any success we achieve is no success at all if not achieved ethically.
People come to Lonza for the challenge and creativity of solving complex problems and developing new ideas in life sciences. In return, we offer the satisfaction that comes with improving lives all around the world. The satisfaction that comes with making a meaningful difference.
