Job Description:
The Head of Financial Accounting Quality is a vital part of the SWISS Accounting management team and plays a crucial role in shaping the financial integrity and efficiency of our organization.
* Manage our global operational R2R processes in close collaboration with functional departments and our business service partner.
* Ensure compliance with local requirements and high-quality financial statements of our international activities by collaborating and steering stakeholders.
* Design, implement and document best-in-class financial processes & solutions, collaborating with relevant stakeholders, including IT, to drive efficiency in our organisation.
* Responsible for a small team of 2-3 financial accounting consultants and their professional development.
* Apply project and process management methodologies to efficiently navigate and manage complexity.
* Act as risk champion and coordinator for the accounting division’s Internal Control System.
* Contact point for internal and external auditors.
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or an “HF” Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education in business administration or similar, with a focus on Accounting.
* Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Accounting.
* Strong SAP FI expertise: Experience with SAP S/4 is a plus.
* Excellent process and project management skills.
* Good communication and presentation skills across various management levels and Lufthansa Group companies.
* Initial leadership experience or a strong affinity for leadership responsibilities is required.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage complex topics.
* Pro-active and solution-oriented work approach.
* Openness to travel.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
