Airworthiness Engineer
As part of Leonardo, Kopter is developing the AW09, a next-generation single-engine helicopter. Your Responsibilities
As a member of the airworthiness team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the type certification process, airworthiness certificates, changes in type design, and continued airworthiness.
You will directly oversee airworthiness activities relating to rotorcraft or system level disciplines allocated to a specific airworthiness engineer position.
* Manage and track certification plans for initial type design and post-type certification activities as well as documents shared with authorities.
* Manage and track flight safety statements for experimental activities.
* Collaborate with chief engineers, CVE, certification coordinator, and program management to ensure transversal coordination and work-share with responsibility for delivery to time and quality.
* Verify consistency and integration of required airworthiness certification documentation and activities: certification program, certification plans (DCPs, CCLs), compliance documents, and CRI & CAI, in accordance with DOH.
* Consult DO on all matters of airworthiness and approval as well as maintaining certification aspects of DAS.
* Prepare change classification assessment form (minor/major changes).
* Check CM requirements are implemented and corresponding substantiation documentation revised (change to type design).
* Harmonize required airworthiness certification documentation.
* Follow evolution of authority requirements.
* Check airworthiness standards of different authorities worldwide.
* Assist development of mandatory SB in case of unsafe condition.
* Initiate activities to answer failure evaluation and/or complaints from Kopter product operators. In case of airworthiness impairment, inform authority/Agency.
* Assist Authorities to enforce AD and regularly check applicability/relevance of new ADs to Kopter DO.
* Monitor revisions of manuals approved by Agency (Aircraft Flight Manual, MMEL, and Airworthiness Limitation Section of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness).
* Create and optimize DO processes related to airworthiness domain and maintain documents within DAS.
Your Qualifications
* Engineering graduation degree or proven record in comparable function.
* Minimum 5 years relevant experience in aviation industry with common knowledge about DOH/DAS/QMS.
* Flexible, self-driven attitude with customer focus.
* Analytical and organisational skills.
* Very good English spoken and written (minimum B2).
