The main tasks of your role:
Manage and develop the SAP team (7 direct + 7 in matrix) consisting of functional and technical staff, across geographies and time zones in close collaboration with matrix managers
Be responsible for our SAP solution and provide leadership for daily operations, roadmap and strategy
Act as delivery manager for all delivered solutions: change requests, projects, incident management, process optimization/automation, user support etc.
Establish solid working relationships with business stakeholders and an understanding of segment business models
Represent the SAP perspective within the global Burckhardt compression architecture, business process ecosystem, relevant boards and user community
Apply industry best practices around ERP demand management, change management, agile operations, and contribute to the establishment of a group wide efficient operating model
Raise standards and promote SAP landscape to the function heads for broad buy-in
Drive cultural change towards user adoption of digital processes and tools
Manage suppliers, contracts, and budget allocated to the SAP landscape, in close collaboration with other delivery managers, the architecture team, Procurement, Legal, etc.
Actively support the transformation of the SAP architecture towards cloud consumption and SAP S4/Hana migration.
Advise senior stakeholders of towards solutions to business challenges
Your knowledge, experience, and skills
Master's degree in relevant field such as computer science or business administration or equivalent professional qualification
In depth knowledge, SAP certified in at least one of the following modules : FI CO MM SD PP
Built, led and developed a SAP Competence Centre
Significant experience of managing a SAP system incorporating support and project management, including a number of implementations
Proven track record in S4/Hana system design, setup, implementation and rollout, particularly in migrating from an SAP ECC to a S4/Hana system in a multi-geography setup.
Significant experience managing teams comprising permanent staff, consultants, and contractors (on and possibly offshore)
Leadership experience with globally distributed cross-functional teams
Experience working with senior leadership and confidence in communication at all levels
Preferably experience in an engineering focused industrial or manufacturing business
Your Personality
Full proficiency in English (business fluent at a contractual level) is essential. Good German language skills are an advantage
