Job description
Purpose
Within central finance organization, the incumbent for this position will be responsible to identify, value, market, and monetize ST intellectual property on a worldwide basis through licenses and transfer agreements thus generating incremental return for all groups and divisions of ST, financing further ST’s innovation.
ST intellectual property encompasses design IPs (low to medium complexity functionalities developed on silicon, such as PLL, ADC, high speed interfaces), system IP (more complex functionalities up to complete product such as BT, GPS) and semiconductor manufacturing process technologies (CMOS, RF-SOI, power MOSFET technologies).
Main Accountabilities
· Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify potential business opportunities for ST IPs.
· Develop and maintain ST’s IP portfolio and roadmap, negotiate with central R&D team and product groups additional IP and associated technical support setup.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, tax, and export, to negotiate contractual terms including commercial aspects, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations and to mitigate any potential risks.
· Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and partners to understand their business needs and identify opportunities for collaboration.
· Manage multiple IP transfer projects ensuring that the negotiated rights and conditions for the transfer and support are sized and setup properly, thus fulfilling ST commitments.
· Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to promote ST's IPs and increase revenue.
· Develop and maintain a strong understanding of ST's product portfolio and roadmap to identify potential synergies and opportunities for cross-selling.
· Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and technologies that could impact ST's IP portfolio and licensing strategy.
· Develop and maintain IP valuation methods striving at fixing the best IP price for ST and the market.
· Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the performance of the IP licensing business, including revenue forecasts, customer feedback, and market trends.
· Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the IP licensing strategy and make recommendations for improvements and optimizations.

Education :
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
Skills :
Knowledge of the semiconductor industry and related technologies
Experience in IP licensing and technology transfer
· Technical background in IC design or silicon manufacturing process technologies
· Strong financial and business acumen
· Experience in contract negotiation and management
· Excellent ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and senior stakeholders.
· Experience working in a multicultural environment
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Other languages may be a plus.
