The European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Architect to join our team.
ESMO is a learned society for the medical oncology profession. The Society aims to provide its members with a range of professional services to improve standards of practice of medical oncology by enhancing the knowledge and competence of its members.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement innovative and scalable infrastructure solutions leveraging Azure, MS365, and modern management principles.
Manage the modern workplace, including overseeing the ServiceDesk team, managing the MS365 environment, and identity and access management solutions, including conditional access policies and Intune modern device management with Autopilot.
Develop and maintain the virtual infrastructure, including physical and virtual environments, Azure hybrid cloud integrations, and modern management solutions.
Develop and maintain the network infrastructure, including Teams telephony, cloud secure printing, switching and firewalling, internet access, wireless, and cloud integration.
Technical Leadership
Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure that infrastructure initiatives meet organizational requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Act under the supervision of the Digital Technology and Cyber Security Manager.
* Work closely with other IT teams to ensure smooth integration and collaboration.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
* Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
* Develop and maintain documentation and SOP for all infrastructure components.
Service and Project Management
* Oversee the lifecycle of projects and change requests, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery.
* Maintain high-quality IT project and service documentation.
* Manage internal service support, addressing configuration issues or service disruptions.
* Provide technical support and training to end-users during the onboarding.
* Troubleshoot and resolve Infrastructure-related issues promptly.
Contract Management
* Manage the cost and performance of all contracted services and consultants within the BU scope.
* Ensure that services delivered align with expectations and needs, negotiating terms of services.
User Support
* Oversee the Service Desk team and ensure efficient ticket management and resolution.
* Improve, together with the other teams, the ITSM self-service portal and knowledge base to empower users.
* Manage incident, service requests and problem management.
* Provide second-level support for end-users.
* Provide training and support to end-users on new tools and technologies and during the onboarding process.
Microsoft 365 Administration
* Configure and manage Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
* Implement and maintain email security and compliance policies.
* Manage SharePoint Online sites and permissions.
* Configure Teams for effective collaboration and communication.
Identity and Access Management
* Design and implement Azure AD (Entra ID) for single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and self-service password reset.
* Configure conditional access policies to protect sensitive data.
* Manage user provisioning and deprovisioning processes.
Device Management
* Manage Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).
* Manage Autopilot for zero-touch device provisioning.
* Manage device compliance policies.
Azure Infrastructure
* Design and implement Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
* Manage Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage, and networks.
* Optimize Azure costs and performance.
Virtualization
* Manage the virtual environment (VMware, vSAN)
* Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
* Optimize virtual machine performance.
Cloud Integration
* Integrate on-premises systems with Azure cloud services.
* Migration of the on-premise workloads to the cloud.
* Manage hybrid cloud environments.
Automation
* Automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell
* Automate MS365 tasks using Power Automate
Networking
* Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks.
* Configure routers, switches, and firewalls and VPNs
* Implement network segmentation and security policies.
* Manage the Teams Phone System
* Manage wireless access points and controllers.
Audio-Visual
* Manage audio-visual systems in conference rooms (Poly, Barco, Extron)
* Troubleshoot and maintain audio-visual equipment.
