Intraday Asset Trader
We are seeking an Intraday Trader to join our 24/7 intraday team based in Olten. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the fast-paced world of power trading, a highly motivated analytical thinker with a strong problem-solving mindset.
Responsibilities:
* Optimize and trade our flexible Swiss hydro asset portfolio on the European intraday markets on a continuous basis.
* Collaborate with team colleagues to develop, implement, and operate trading and optimization strategies on all relevant market routes.
* Balance and trade a large-scale renewable portfolio across various markets, managing imbalance risk and trading needs effectively.
* Operate in a 24/7 shift scheme, including regular night and weekend operations.
Your Profile:
* Technical or economical university degree.
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in VBA/Excel and ideally Python.
* Problem-solving oriented mindset to tackle complex trading challenges.
* Experience in short-term or intraday energy markets is preferred.
* Familiarity with the fundamentals and value drivers of spot and intraday markets in Europe.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work within a team and share knowledge and experience.
* Fluency in English is mandatory, additional language skills in German, French, or Italian are highly beneficial.
