The Credit Analyst is responsible for assessing customer creditworthiness, managing credit risk, and making recommendations to ensure sound financial decisions. This role involves evaluating financial statements, monitoring credit limits, and working closely with A/R and Treasury teams to optimize cash flow while minimizing risk.
Key responsibilities
Conduct credit risk assessments on new and existing customers using financial statements, credit reports, and payment history.
Determine appropriate credit limits and terms based on risk analysis.
Monitor customer credit performance and recommend adjustments as needed.
Collaborate with A/R and Treasury to mitigate credit risk and improve cash flow.
Maintain credit and collections processes, including order holds/releases, in compliance with credit policies and procedures.
Work with collections teams to resolve disputes and minimize bad debt exposure.
Provide reporting on credit risk, aging analysis, and key metrics.
You bring these skills, experience & education
Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
3+ years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment or accounts receivable.
Strong understanding of financial statements and credit evaluation methodologies.
Proficiency in accounting software, credit analysis tools, Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
Excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
