The Accounting Controller is responsible for all areas of BIBSP relating to financial reporting, compliance and provides key support to FP&A. This position will be in charge of developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial data. The controller is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in an effective and efficient manner. The position will have frequent contact with local and global teams, which requires strong interpersonal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities Develop, direct and coordinate all accounting, treasury, tax and internal control functions.
Continuously optimize accounting efficiency and strengthen control through best practices.
Provide key support for financial planning process, including monthly forecasts, annual budgets and 5-Year Plans.
Research and resolve technical issues to ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP.
Provide leadership and opportunities for professional growth and development for the accounting team.
Manage the accounting closing processes to secure timely, accurate and complete execution (monthly, quarterly, yearly).
Review and ensure appropriate Statutory and IFRS Financial Statements.
Oversee preparation of Tax Processes, management of outsourced consultancy and ensure compliance to local and group requirements, including representation before the government.
Secure compliance to internal controls (SOX) and ISO, manage audit plan and implementation of recommendations.
You Bring These Skills, Experience & Education Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or relevant certificates required
Over 10 years of experience, at least 3-5 in leadership
Strong analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Extensive knowledge of accounting and internal control
Change Management - Needs to proactively start the changes and seek continuous improvement
Quality- and outcome orientation - Needs to secure high quality reports delivered to decision makers
Communication - The position has frequent contact with local and global teams
Lean Management - Requires ability to manage multi-task workload and resources
Readiness to learn and change - Needs to be continuously updated about local & global requirements and apply best practices at work
