Roche is looking for an experienced and specialized individual to join the Neuroimmunology Team within the Neurology Therapeutic Area. The Medical Director leads Clinical Development (CD) strategy, and ensures effective and efficient execution for an assigned molecule(s)/indication(s). Medical Directors perform their responsibilities independently and may lead multiple projects. The Medical Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the drug development value chain, including research and early development, regulatory affairs, data sciences, and biomarkers, to ensure efficient decision-making and successful progression of treatments through the pipeline.
This position requires a strong clinical and scientific understanding of Neuroimmunological disease and Multiple Sclerosis, to be able to efficiently lead the CD strategy for the assigned molecule/indication meeting the required standards, to support the writing of clinical trial protocols and other regulatory documents, and to participate in a meaningful way in interactions with regulatory agencies.
MD, MBBS or MD (MBBS)/PhD
Board eligible/board certified in Neurology, and fellowship training in MS / Neuroimmunology
knowledge and understanding of Phase I & IV drug development.
proven abilities to influence internal partners, thought leaders, national advocacy organizations, and other relevant external parties; Recognized multiple sclerosis (+/- Neuroimmunology) expert and thought leader as evidenced, for example, by publication record, history of presentations at scientific meetings, and/or advisory activities.
Experience working with various health authorities, including the FDA, EMA, and others; clinical trial/development experience in other areas of Neurology.
