As the premier supplier to our international banking client in Basel, Swisslinx are looking for an open-minded and team-oriented Trading Developer with 5+ years of programming experience and good knowledge of Findur/Endur or other trading/treasury management systems to build interfaces between Findur and other applications using modern architecture.
This is an initial contract running for 12 months with a strong likelihood to extend on a long-term basis (up to a maximum of five years) based on the project road maps, with a start date of 1 March.
The successful candidate will work on a project starting next year, focused on moving to a business-focused data product approach, implementing a data lake.
The Trading Developer will join a small and experienced business-facing team to help upgrade its main trade capture system (Findur).
This engineer will work in a team to ensure the new implementation aligns with the existing architecture and patterns and ensure that the Bank’s standards for system documentation, version control, change management, testing, and backup/recovery are applied appropriately to departmental development.
This is a new role, and the successful candidate will work as part of a team of around 8 people, working closely with other Software Engineers on various workstreams, as well as other key stakeholders from Middle Office, Risk, Banking Front Office (Traders) etc. in the context of this project.
Responsibilities include:
1. Design, implement and test interfaces from Findur and other applications;
2. Interact with other IT groups in the organization for systems design, integration, standards, and change management;
3. Contribute to wider discussions on how to design/architect systems.
In order to be considered for this role, you will possess as many of the following skills as possible:
1. At least eight years' experience as a Software Developer;
2. Strong hands-on experience with the following technologies: Findur or Endur (including Open Components or JVS) or treasury/trade management system experience;
3. Strong hands-on experience with the following technologies: Java or .NET C#;
4. Experience with Kafka;
5. Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub);
6. Fluency in English.
The following are nice to have but not mandatory:
1. Experience with the secure software development lifecycle;
2. Experience with electronic trading solutions;
3. Excellent presentation skills, as well as oral and written English skills; a second major language is a plus.
Please note interviews would be conducted via video call, however, the role is based 100% in Switzerland.
