Role Overview
The Internal Control Manager directly reporting into the Head of Accounting and Control based in Eysins, Geneva area, Switzerland will primarily assist with the sector internal control monitoring, coordination, improvement and being the main liaison contact point for the Group, Chief Operating Officer Team (COO) and Climate Control Finance leadership Team for the internal control processes and improvements aspects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform monthly global sector key controls for Climate Control based on Financial Director and Head of Accounting delegation.
2. Drive the standardization of the controls execution for the sector.
3. Support the Group/COO in the preparation of the Annual Audit, Quarterly Key Control review and Balance sheet Review Program for Climate Control Sector.
4. Lead the preparation and execution of the assigned audit and reviews by the Group/COO, including the issuance of final reports, documentation of findings and proposal of corrective actions.
5. Liaison between COO and Climate Control on monthly actions tracker of all open audit, key control and balance sheet review points. Ensure the open points are followed-up, escalate to Climate Control Finance Leadership team when necessary and closed within the agreed deadline.
6. Coordinate the Sector ICD submissions and Evidence Binder scoring files, for selected countries based on Group/COO instructions. Request of amendments if needed, chasing of signed certificates.
7. Drive the development of new/amended Standard Operating procedures (SOP’s) as well as improvements and changes in the sector processes required by Group/COO/Sector management.
8. Manage one Internal Control team member.
9. Propose improvements aiming to automate controls in JDE and/or performing internal controls through data analysis or other solutions.
10. Support the implementation of Climate Control permanent file by legal entity.
11. Improve and maintain the Climate Control Internal Control framework.
12. Improve and maintain Climate Control Finance Workplace.
13. Support Head of Accounting and Control on ad hoc requests.
Critical Competencies for Success
1. Experience in coordinating and participating in internal and external audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
2. Solid knowledge of Accounting, Finance, Treasury and Internal Control Environment.
3. Excellent communication skills and ownership mindset.
4. Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
5. Certification: Swiss CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
6. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software experience (JDE, Cognos, Power BI) is advantageous.
7. Hands-on and ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Language: Fluency in English and French is essential.
9. Experience in working in a fast paced and multicultural corporate environment.
