As a Manufacturing Engineer
Your main goal will be to create and maintain work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
Identify and recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities.
Collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate production processes and evaluate potential changes.
Your main tasks & duties
Collaboration with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement and support production operations.
Ensure manufacturability of new products (DFM – Design for Manufacturability).
Ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications.
Review engineering drawings and provide feedback to optimize designs for production.
Design and implement manufacturing processes, tools and equipment.
Develop, implement and refine manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
Create and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes and work instructions.
Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment.
Prepare reports on process performance and improvement metrics.
Conduct feasibility studies and process simulations.
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles.
Collaborate with the quality team to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.

Completed higher education (e.g. ETH, HTL).
At a minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
Thorough knowledge of production and assembly processes and corresponding work requirements, preferably in the aviation industry.
Sound technical and practical understanding of complex mechanical, mechatronic and electrical systems.
Thorough knowledge of CAD software (e.g. Creo, SolidWorks, etc.).
Process-oriented and structured work methods.
Good language skills in English (oral and written).
