Software Automation Test Engineer
In our Research & Development group, we develop hearing solutions and services for hearing impaired people, hearing care professionals, and further related people, in the form of hearing devices, accessories, web services, mobile applications, and PC software. Our agile engineering process relies on reusable engineering assets, made of software, electronics, and mechanical parts.
With over 700,000 active users worldwide, our cutting-edge software solutions deliver seamless access to market-leading medical hearing aids. We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Software Engineer to design and develop automated testing solutions, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our products. This is a key role in a growing international team responsible for advancing the quality assurance processes of our software solutions.
Responsibilities
* Develop automated test infrastructure and architecture
* Design and implement automated tests to replace or complement manual testing
* Integrate automated tests into continuous integration systems
* Maintain test code quality and ensure adequate test coverage
* Monitor and report test results, addressing failures proactively
* Align with other test teams for shared test infrastructure
* Collaborate with development teams to enhance verification processes
* Contribute to refining coding guidelines and best practices
* Share and learn test engineering related knowledge in communities
* Contribute to the R&D development process and interdisciplinary agile rituals (e.g. planning, review, etc.)
Your profile
* University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; a certificate in ISTQB is an advantage
* 3+ years of experience in mobile development with Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift); if you know Objective-C it will be an advantage
* Experienced in REST API testing, Git, and automation frameworks; for Back-end testing: Postman and Newman – for Android: JUnit, Gradle, and – for iOS: XCTest
* Knowledge of software testing methodologies like TDD, BDD
* Ability to effectively integrate information from varied disciplines including multiple engineering disciplines marketing and regulatory affairs
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented
* Good communication skills in English, German is a plus
