Senior Development Engineer
Job Responsibility
* Use imprint, lithography, etching, and metrology to develop new masking techniques that enhance the optical function of micro-optical components.
* Design and conduct experiments based on physics and chemistry principles, interpreting results using first principles.
* Develop and build etching tools with in-situ monitoring and control to accelerate new etched optics product development.
* Document and accumulate knowledge from rapid and low-cost failures, supporting continuous learning and improvement.
* Contribute to continuous improvement activities, product optimization, and re-qualification processes.
* Work on methodologies for lean manufacturing to optimize production efficiency.
* Train and supervise technical staff, ensuring high standards and knowledge transfer.
* Create, update, and maintain working instructions and process documentation.

Professional skills
* B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Microtechnology, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* In-depth knowledge of microtechnology fabrication processes for optical components.
* Experience in etching fused silica and silicon is a "must-have" requirement.
* Experience in metrology and characterization of micro- and nanostructures.
* Specialized in methods of etching and imprint technology at the wafer level.
* Expertise in thin film technology.
* Familiarity with fabrication technologies in the semiconductor industry.
* Fluent in English, with proficiency in French and German as a plus.
