A boutique with significant and growing assets under management, they offer traditional as well as complex, bespoke private banking services to high net worth clients. A strong shareholder and solid balance sheet back this client, offering an enriching and challenging position that is rather unique in the Geneva market place.
Position:
This is an opportunity for a seasoned farmer banker with Swiss experience, comfortable in a broad role and part of a small, busy team. The position is as the right hand of the General Manager as a farmer banker/senior relationship manager. You will maintain a client base and have direct contact with clients, requiring comfort in discussing products, investments, and financial markets. While we are not looking for an investment advisor (as the team already has one), you should be capable of explaining a fact sheet and answering client questions about investments and products. This is a full-time position with no home office, requiring 5 days a week in the central Geneva offices; frontalier accepted. Ideally, candidates should be able to start ASAP, but those on a short notice period are also encouraged to apply for this rare position.
If you currently work as a Senior Relationship Manager farmer, this broad and varied role will be enriching and rewarding as your next step. Within a small structure, the position will involve maintaining the client base and managing relationships. You will work with 1 junior banker and 1 assistant, and may occasionally take on administrative tasks related to account opening or payments, so a willingness to 'roll up sleeves' is necessary. This is not a hunter role. You should also be comfortable with complex orders, structured products, funds, and derivatives (options), while collaborating closely with the Investment Advisor who is part of this Geneva-based front office team.
Profile:
University or Master's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 8-10 years' experience as a relationship manager farmer/senior banker (maintenance banker, not hunter)
Swiss experience is a must; direct private client experience with international exposure; a stable career path ideally from a category 4 or category 5 FINMA-regulated bank preferred
Strong technical skills; CWMA certification is a strong plus
Independent, autonomous, team player who can work well with all levels of staff
Unflappable, resilient, experienced, and entrepreneurial, comfortable within a global brand but as part of a small office
Hungry, keen to learn, able to take initiative, think outside the box with energy and drive
Excellent attention to detail, strong in administration and compliance
Open-minded, flexible, willing to 'muck-in' and help out with a positive mindset
Able to commit to a busy, full-time job; comfortable in a small structure (no home office) - front office open until 18:30 daily
Swiss residency preferred but not essential; frontalier accepted
