Your Key Responsibilities:
* Create an integrated project plan in agreement with the Project Owner, aimed at creating agreed business benefits.
* Develop integrated planning, budget, timeline including quality, organization, information management and SHE.
* Assemble an adequate project team and manage suppliers of resources or services to the project.
Execution of the Project
* Manage the execution of the project within a given project management phase, in compliance with the applicable requirements and standards.
* Break down the project objectives into measurable KPIs and drive the realization of these KPIs.
* Challenge individual work plans to ensure effective teamwork.
* Seek advice and challenge in optimizing effectiveness.
* Gather options, carefully select, evaluate and propose a final option (ensure different perspectives are brought together). Monitor whether the reasons for selecting that option remain valid and if not re-visit the option selection process.
* Manage the project's scope via proper change management.
* Identify and manage the project risks and inform the Project Owner timely when project risk profile changes.
* Inform and educate Project Owner/review team in case of risks, including implications.
* Advise the Project Owner when a phase review is required and prepare the information package for the review team meeting.
Reporting on the Progress of the Project
* Organize the tracking of project results.
* Make sure project reviews are requested when appropriate and the recommendations are implemented.
* Report to the Project Owner the progress on an agreed basis.
* Manage the expectations of the stakeholders and provide adequate information to the relevant stakeholders timely.
Closing of the Project
* Ensure proper hand-over of project deliverables to running business for the effective realization of the aimed business benefits.
* Evaluate the project and share relevant lessons learned.
Functional Excellence
* Be an ambassador and promote the professional development of project management in dsm-firmenich.
* Participate actively in organizing and executing peer reviews.
* Have an active role in the PM community activities and excellence program.
* Act as a mentor to other PMs.
* Advise the Project Owner and review team on project management governance matters.
