Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Master Data Management Specialist to own and enhance our master data operations. This role is designed to take over existing tasks with maintained response times, while driving improvements in documentation, process governance, training, and reporting. The ideal candidate will excel in managing complex data environments and be capable of leading initiatives that span from process mapping and training to strategic infrastructure proposals.
Master Data Operations:
- Assume comprehensive responsibility for all master data tasks while upholding or exceeding current performance standards.
- Develop, update, and maintain content that supports high-quality master data management practices and improved service levels.
Process Documentation & Training:
- Identify and map all Offer-to-Cash (O2C) master data activities, ensuring that process flows and roles & responsibilities are thoroughly documented.
- Create robust, master-controlled training documentation and deliver engaging training sessions that empower staff and foster excellence.
Infrastructure Proposal & Governance:
- Develop a strategic proposal outlining various master data infrastructure models—centralized, decentralized, and hybrid—with a particular focus on material/service and customer master data management.
- Establish and implement a strong governance framework aligned with the chosen model to ensure continuous process adherence and quality oversight.
ERP Integration & Dashboard Development:
- Oversee the training and seamless onboarding of ERP backfill resources, ensuring swift knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement master data activity monitoring dashboards that provide real-time insights and drive proactive decision-making.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Proven expertise in Master Data Management within a dynamic and complex business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process documentation, develop training materials, and implement governance structures.
Technical & Analytical Proficiency:
- Deep understanding of various master data infrastructure models, with the capacity to analyze and recommend optimal solutions for centralized, decentralized, or hybrid systems.
- Experience with ERP systems, data management tools, and dashboard/reporting platforms.
Project Management:
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with a track record of managing multiple, high-priority projects in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to drive projects from conception through to successful execution while maintaining high standards of quality.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear articulation of complex processes and effective training delivery.
- Proven ability to collaborate across diverse teams and work independently to achieve strategic objectives.
