Job Purpose:
The MSC Foundation Host is responsible for promoting the MSC Foundation and its activities, as well as overseeing the sales of selected products on board. This role requires a strong belief in the foundation's mission and the ability to communicate it effectively to guests.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote the MSC Foundation and its partners through genuine passion and belief.
* Explain the donation mechanism and manage on-board donations with gratitude.
* Deliver official presentations and speeches in formal settings.
* Ensure the accuracy of all on-board communications regarding the Foundation and related fundraising tools.
* Manage the MSC Foundation Area, hosting and supervising the space during high-traffic moments.
* Organize activities to promote the Foundation during each journey, working with other Hotel departments.
* Support the Nautilus Club staff in creating an interactive environment for kids and youth while raising awareness about marine conservation, education, and health.
* Sell MSC Foundation selected products by emphasizing their distinctiveness and contribution to the foundation's goals.
* Monitor stock levels and report restocking needs to ensure consistent availability.
* Provide assortment range recommendations based on observations and guest feedback.
* Manage sellable inventory, storage organization, and stock levels to ensure a consistent and meticulous display of products.
* Track activities, report findings, and make recommendations to the Corporate MSC Foundation Team.
* Resolve guest issues and ensure a positive experience.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in luxury hospitality or retail.
* Charismatic public speaking and hosting skills.
* Computer literacy.
* Eagerness to contribute to philanthropic causes and make a positive impact.
* Fluent English; preferably additional languages (Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French).
Visa Requirements:
Valid passport and Seaman Book.
