Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our legal team. The successful candidate will have a background in HR matters, commercial contracts, and day-to-day business operations. This role will support the Senior Legal Counsel in providing comprehensive legal services to the organization.
Main Responsibilities
1. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including customer agreements, vendor agreements, service contracts, and partnership agreements.
2. Provide legal advice and support on HR-related issues, including employment contracts, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws.
3. Support the Senior Legal Counsel in managing day-to-day legal matters, including corporate governance, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
4. Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to provide accurate and timely advice.
5. Collaborate with various departments to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business decisions and operations.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.
7. Handle some other legal tasks related to our Swiss Construction site.
Skills and Qualification
8. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal role (including law firm and in-house), with a focus on commercial contracts, and business operations.
9. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Experienced in diverse, cross-cultural working environment with strong interpersonal skills.
11. Ability to work independently and operate successfully in a constantly changing, fast paced environment and to complete multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner independently or to collaborate with other.
12. In-house experience in medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry, health regulatory environment, and intellectual property licensing is preferred.
13. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited law school.
14. Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction in Switzerland.
15. Fluency in English and German is a must.
