Controllers also ensure that the firm's activities are conducted in compliance with the regulations governing transactions in the financial markets.

BUSINESS UNIT
The Controllers group is responsible for safeguarding the firm's assets: to help maintain the integrity of Goldman Sachs' finances and expenditures. Through careful consideration and analyses of firm finances, objectives and strategies, we ensure that the firm's businesses continue to be profitable and efficiently run. Controllers also ensure that all business practices are in compliance with financial and regulatory requirements worldwide. Since contact with virtually every part of the firm is essential to Controllers, professionals in the department experience Goldman Sachs businesses, products, and sophisticated technology systems in depth. Direct Hedge Funds, Hedge Funds Strategies, Private Equity Group teams within Controllers support the alternative investments within Goldman Sachs Asset Management division with oversight over complex private funds.
YOUR IMPACT
You will work in the Finance Department of Goldman Sachs Bank AG. You will be primarily responsible for the Financial Accounting and Reporting, Taxation and Swiss regulatory reporting when required. You will also be involved in other finance functions including SNB statistical reporting, Credit Risk, Liquidity Management and Consolidation reporting.
You will be responsible for several financial reporting functions for the Goldman Sachs entities in Switzerland including:
* Preparation and analysis of financial accounts and reporting under Swiss and US GAAP, including various reporting to the US for consolidation purposes
* Preparation of Statutory accounts under Swiss GAAP, interaction with Auditors including on regulatory topics
* Swiss Tax reporting (Corporate taxes, VAT and transactional taxes) and coordinating with the European and US Tax teams on local and foreign tax issues, involvement in Transfer Pricing and support tax audits
* Regulatory reporting (liquidity, statistical reporting to SNB), interpretation of SNB/ FINMA regulatory requirements and implementation of the same
* Co-ordination and controlling of the Bank's business activities including Credit risk on loans, bank guarantees and derivatives; and Market risk on currency exposure positions.
* Participation in global financial/regulatory projects (automations, systems developments, new products)
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting with 3-4 years’ professional experience in Financial Reporting/Audit preferably within the Financial Services sector
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Strong organization skills and flexible mindset
* Excellent communication skills and team player
* Fluency in English mandatory
* Fluency in German will be highly desirable
