Our team in Haag, Switzerland is looking for you:
Supplier Development and Quality Engineer (electronic & electro-mechanical components)
Ensuring continuous product and process quality of suppliers based on specifications and standards as well as customer-specific requirements.
Qualify, train and develop new and existing suppliers to ensure VAT's growth strategy. Collaborate with staff across all functions to achieve project goals. Leverage experience and knowledge to share with suppliers and purchasing teams.
YOUR CHALLENGES
Evaluation of potential suppliers together with the Category Management department
Planning and implementation of system and process audits at selected suppliers
Facilitating process and quality improvement activities with selected suppliers, including qualification and validation
Assessment of the existing supply chain in terms of process capabilities and development potential
Maintaining working relationships between all departments
Monitoring assigned supplier KPIs and tracking corrective actions
Training of suppliers in VAT-specific processes, standards and technologies
Review of initial sample test reports from suppliers
Processing of complaints using the 8D method
YOUR COMPETENCIES
Completed technical training / apprenticeship in the field of electromechanics / mechatronics, as well as practical experience of at least 5 years
Bachelor's degree in electro-mechanical engineering or similar background is an advantage
Professional experience in a quality-oriented technical position at least 5 years
An additional degree in quality engineering would be an advantage
English skills at least C1, German skills at least B2
Willingness to travel (20-30%)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS & REMARKS
Profound quality experience with high-tech components
Knowledge of internal and external auditing
Good knowledge of quality management systems, at least ISO 9001
Work in international teams, ability to work in a matrix organization
Good listening and negotiation skills as well as good communication skills across departmental boundaries
High degree of resilience and flexibility
Aware of customer requirements and relevant processes in the semiconductor industry preferred
