Casale SA is a leading firm that designs and implements innovative plants to produce green ammonia, ammonia, nitrates, phosphates, urea, methanol, melamine, and syngas. In this frame, the company seeks a dynamic Senior Piping Engineer to join its Piping and Layout Section team and work with a passionate, detail-oriented, and international team to develop and maintain our projects.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To prepare the basic and detailed documentation for the projects.
2. To manage activities during proposals, revamping, and EPC projects.
3. To manage and coordinate the Home Office and the external engineering companies, if present, ensuring that the activities are efficiently carried out according to the project procedures and the current best practices.
4. To maintain contact with Clients or Partners.
5. Travel abroad for meetings or surveys.
6. Assist the site team during erection.
Education
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equiv.
Languages
Italian Fluent, English Fluent - knowledge of any other language may be an asset.
Software Knowledge
Good practical experience in using the following software:
1. AutoCAD
2. Aveva E3D or other 3D programs
3. MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Power Platform)
4. Cadworks
5. Puma5 and Cosmo5
Skills
1. Knowledge of Piping Engineering based on ASME process piping B31.1 / B31.3 and EN Codes applied to green and brownfield projects.
2. Preparation of Plant and Unit layouts using 3D and/or AutoCAD for new and revamping projects.
3. Develop piping studies.
4. Manage MTOs for estimating or purchasing using Puma5 or equivalent software.
5. Knowledge of the materials used in industrial plants, metals, alloys, plastics, GRE.
6. Selection of standard and special supports.
7. Review of equipment data such as pumps, compressors, and turbines and static equipment such as solar, atmospheric, and pressure vessels, heat exchangers, etc.
8. Familiarity with all the typical activities and documents related to piping design.
9. Manage deadlines and progress according to project budget and schedules.
10. Strong interpersonal communication and analytical skills.
11. Ability to prioritize workloads, problems, and the needs of all members of their multidisciplinary team.
12. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
13. Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years working experience. Preference will be given to those candidates who have gained the required experience:
1. In an EPC company operating in chemical, petrochemical, or oil & gas sectors.
2. On a Project Control role in the last 2 to 5 years.
3. Site experience.
