Job Title: Technology Strategy Lead- Legal Operations
As a key member of the CSL Legal team, this Associate Director level role provides strategic direction and support for developing and implementing CSL Legal's technology plan.
The Opportunity
This leadership position is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the technology processes and solutions of the wider Legal function. The ideal candidate will ensure that our systems are up-to-date, secure, and reliable, following industry best practices.
The Role
You will manage the Legal team's technology platforms, sourcing and evaluating new technology solutions to drive operational efficiencies and innovation. By leading the implementation, administration, and support of the Legal team's technology platforms, you will bring system cohesiveness and future thinking to Legal's technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop a long-term vision and actionable roadmap for a Legal technology roadmap in collaboration with global partners.
2. Deliver on the technology roadmap, focusing on driving operational efficiencies and innovation.
3. Collaborate with I&T Business Partners to ensure system and roadmap alignment.
4. Work with internal and external teams on technical solution design and delivery.
5. Oversee the implementation and administration of enterprise-wide Contract Lifecycle Management tools, Legal Service Delivery systems, and Enterprise Legal Management platforms.
6. SOURCE AND IMPLEMENT NEW SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS.
7. Manage relationships with software vendors and technology service providers.
8. Develop efficient, user-friendly, and integrated processes and systems.
9. Lead complex integrations and large-scale data migration efforts.
10. Apply advanced analysis and technical expertise to solve complex problems.
11. Stay informed about emerging technologies and their potential applications in the future roadmap.
Your Skills and Experience:
* Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
* Prior experience with legal tech degrees and certifications (PMP or similar) is beneficial.
* Project management skills and experience with Six Sigma or Agile development methodologies are advantageous.
* A minimum of 7 years of experience managing global legal systems, developing project roadmaps, and implementing systems is necessary.
* Familiarity with every stage of the development life cycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment, is essential.
* Experience working with APIs or integration middleware is also beneficial.
* Change management skills and the ability to develop efficient systems and process improvements with high user satisfaction ratings are crucial.
* International travel may be required (up to 10% of work time).
