Job Description
The Database Competence Center covers all DBA technologies and is responsible for 24/7 operations for major regional and global banks.
Your key tasks
1. Create and maintain all databases required for development, testing, education, and production on different Unix and Linux platforms.
2. Perform capacity planning to create and maintain databases.
3. Ongoing tuning of database instances.
4. Install and evaluate new versions of Oracle RDBMS and related tools.
5. Plan and implement backup and recovery strategies for Oracle databases.
6. Manage migrations of programs, database changes, reference data, and menu changes through the development lifecycle.
7. Implement and enforce security measures for all Oracle Databases.
8. Perform database re-organizations to optimize performance and uptime.
9. Establish standards for application design and coding to ensure integrity, security, and performance.
10. Support and execute migration to Oracle Cloud or other cloud providers.
11. Provide technical support to application development teams.
12. Assist with impact analysis of database object changes.
13. Troubleshoot database, application, and development tool issues.
14. Maintain up-to-date support documentation for review and audit purposes.
15. Declare infrastructure components in Terraform for Oracle OCI, GPC, AWS, MS Azure, and private clouds.
16. Utilize current technologies and tools to improve and automate system operations and processes.
17. Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain systems to deliver services effectively.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of solid Oracle DBA experience.
* Experience with Oracle Cloud (OCI).
* Experience operating Oracle databases on Unix systems (AIX, Linux).
* Proficiency in shell scripting.
* Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, git).
* Strong experience with CI/CD processes.
It would be a real bonus if you have
* MSSQL DBA experience.
* PostgreSQL DBA experience.
* Experience with Exadata and RAC.
* Oracle APEX experience.
* Proven coding skills.
