CERN's institutional repository, the CERN Document Server (CDS), is dedicated to archiving, preserving, and disseminating research outputs, multimedia content, and other key documents produced by the organization.
We are building the next-generation web platform based on the open-source technology InvenioRDM, and as a Graduate, you will play a crucial role in shaping its future.
This role involves working as a full-stack software engineer as part of a team using Python and React, contributing to developing new features, supporting the migration to the new platform, and ensuring a smooth transition.
Main Responsibilities:
* Designing, developing, testing, and deploying software.
* Engaging with users to understand their needs and refine the system accordingly.
* Collaborating with a team to develop new features and ensure a seamless workflow for researchers.
Our ultimate goal is to create a seamless workflow for researchers, enabling them to archive, publish, and share research outputs, including software, data, and documents, more easily and efficiently.

Required Skills:
* Python, Flask, JavaScript, React, Git.
Nice to have skills:
* PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
* Docker, OpenShift.
* Experience working on open source projects.
Eligibility criteria:
* You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
* You have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Software engineering (or a related field).
* Your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
* You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
* Applicants without a University degree are not eligible.
* Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
Additional Information:
* The job requires 40 hours per week.
* The contract duration is 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
* CERN offers a comprehensive health scheme and membership of the CERN Pension Fund.
* A monthly stipend ranging between 5196 and 5716 Swiss Francs (net of tax).
