Job Title: Area Sales Manager
The Area Sales Manager plays a crucial role in achieving the company's objectives by managing and coordinating all sales activities within their area. This position involves developing and leading a high-performing sales team to achieve growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Management: Operate and adapt management and coaching of the sales force to drive business growth.
* Goal Setting: Derive and define individual team goals based on higher-level objectives.
* Budget Planning: Support Line Managers in defining annual business and budget plans aligned with sales and commercial strategies.
* Performance Monitoring: Evaluate and analyze team performance, initiating professional and personal development opportunities.
* Contract Negotiations: Prepare offers and contracts for large customers, lead contract negotiations, and control contracts of business developers.
* Data Analysis: Create and interpret sales data analyses to inform business decisions.
* Customer Insights: Summarize, analyze, and report customer and market information to identify trends.
* Market Development: Record and forward market and customer observations to Line Managers, implementing suitable measures.
* Information Flow: Ensure efficient and effective communication between internal departments and external contacts.
* Customer Relationships: Establish, maintain, and strengthen key customer relationships.
* Sales Strategy: Plan, schedule, coordinate, and control team sales activities according to directives and guidelines.
* Project Management: Plan and implement regional projects.
* Financial Management: Oversee various material budgets and ensure correct disbursement control.
Minimum Requirements:
* Education: Completed apprenticeship or university studies.
* Sales Experience: Several years of work experience (min. 5 years) as a business developer or Key Account Manager, with management/coordinating team experience a plus.
* Skills: Strong negotiating and analytical skills, driving license required.
* Language Skills: French and English (German an asset).
