OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE– GRAINS – 100%
WHO WE ARE
AMAGGI SA is part of a company with headquarters in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, Brazil which has over 40 years of activities. Our office in Lausanne was founded in November 2012.
Due to our strong presence along the supply chain from farming, internal logistic, crushing and ocean ports, our major goal is to manage primarily exports from South America to North-African, Middle-Eastern and Asian Countries. We also participate actively to the sourcing of grains and oilseeds from the other continents as well. Nowadays we commercialize and transport over 15 million tons per year of grains and oilseeds into Africa, Middle-East and Asia.
We have regional offices in Brazil, Argentina, Singapore, Netherlands and Norway with more than 9,000 employees spread over those countries.
JOB PURPOSE
As an Operations Executive, you will execute and supervise the execution of sales and purchase contracts by following and controlling process of issuance of all the related documentation, following up with share services teams on cargo and services documents, and supervising cargo and stock. You will have the opportunity to grow your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensure smooth and accurate execution of commodities contracts.
* Send Vessel nominations and appropriations and maintain constant follow up.
* Coordination and cooperation with other departments as trade, finance, vessel operations and origination countries.
* Daily contact with inspection companies, local agents, service providers, vendors and customers.
* Issuance of documentary instructions and checking consistency with contracts and letter of credits.
* Ensure that documents issuance is performed in an accurate and timely manner as per contractual obligations.
* Arrange presentation of shipping documents to Buyer’s bank.
* Issuance and control of invoices + ensure timely payment.
* Daily update and fill the internal files + inputs in the internal system.
* Payments follow up and reconciliation with Finance department.
* Finalization of vessel executions including laytime calculations.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in execution, ideally within an international trading company or the grain industry.
* Knowledge of INCOTERMS, UCP 600, GAFTA/FOSFA/ANEC and commercial contracts terms.
* Knowledge of cargo documentation (Bill of lading, phytosanitary certificate, etc.) and quality specifications of grains.
* Experience with letters of credit.
* Team-player, dynamic, flexible and hardworking.
* Autonomous, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Self-motivated with ability to manage time effectively.
* Very proactive with strong ability to face pressure and respect deadlines.
* Computer skills: good command of MS Office tools.
* Fluent in French and English, both written & spoken (other additional languages are a plus).
