Traffic Coordinator
Tasks
Key areas Responsibility Traffic Coordinator
* Draft and review sales and purchase contracts - and amendments
* Prepare and submit commercial invoices to receivers/suppliers, organize settlement of invoices in coordination
* Organize container and truck shipments of concentrates including storage
* Opening and checking of L/C’s for our receivers, requesting amendments and negotiating documents for collection of payment
* Coordinating operations with the local logistics companies/agents, following up daily warehouse transfer reports, stock controls, and independent inspections
* Arranging independent supervision of loading and discharging operations as well as weighing, sampling, and moisture determination operations
* Providing instructions to the laboratories for assaying and umpire, arranging assay exchanges with suppliers and receivers
* Insuring risks of each transport as well as material in storage
* Monitoring profit and loss calculations
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, banks, logistics providers, and other stakeholders
Within the small team and depending on your experience, you will also be responsible for handling/overviewing of risk/hedging/LME tasks, as:
* Daily handling of metal and FX hedges, including collection of physical pricings and preparation of daily hedge instructions
* Booking contractual pricings and futures trades into the system and maintaining/controlling London Metal Exchange (LME) positions
* Controlling of price risk management by coordinating hedge orders, positions, and settlements on a daily basis
* Reconciliation of the LME positions on a daily and monthly basis with the broker and issuing daily clearing instructions
Requirements
Personal Qualifications
* 3 - 5 years of experience in an international environment in Traffic/Logistics and/or LME/Derivatives within the commodities trading industry
* Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and trends to make informed hedging decisions
* Fluency in English and German
* Strong communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across different levels
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
